Emplacement insolite très belle vue.informations disponibles sur place très intéressantes. Contact avec les hôtes très agréable qui font tout pour vous rendre là séjour agreable.

Wir haben 4 Tage in der Casa Pé di Pelon verbracht. Dieser Aufenthalt hat einen besonderen Eindruck bei uns hinterlassen, und wir können ihn jedem/r empfehlen, der/die auch etwas in den Alltag von Picos eintauchen möchte. Man kann bereits vom Haus weg wunderbare Wanderungen unternehmen oder sich von Achada Igreja aus völlig unproblematisch ein Aluguer nach Assomada, in die Serra Malagueta (absolut empfehlenswert) oder sonstwohin nehmen. Ziegen, Hühner und der Nachbarshund schauen beim Gartentor rein und Esel rufen aus der Entfernung. Autolärm....nicht vohanden. Lina, die Nachbarin, kocht je nach Bedarf Frühstück und Abendessen und Jairzinho ,der Gastgeber, ist jederzeit erreichbar und absolut hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen wunderbare Zeit, danke Jairzinho und Lore! Margarete und Dieter (Österreich)

It was a very nice stay. It's gut organised and you get a lot of Information. The owner is not there. But Lina the Housekeeper is very Nice. It's in the middle of nowhere and this is very nice. I think you can also reach it without an own car.

This simple and beatifully (and a bit adventurous) located countryhouse of Jairzinho & Lore combines rural Capeverdian live with 'Belgian' comfort (great beds, well equiped kitchen,...). Chickens, donkeys, pigs and birds compose a soundscape to dream away to. Jairzinho does everything to make you feel at home. Lena, the super friendly neighbour, cooked a delicious meal for us, a way of earning some extra money which is no doubt more than welcome. A place to return to!

In the house you will live an authentic experience of Rural Life in Cape Verde. It is separated, by a dirt road, from the road. The house is well equipped and clean. It is located in a valley, surrounded by mountains, flora and fauna (cabbis, chickens, roosters, donkeys...). A whole disconnection experience!

Staying at Casa Pé di Polon is an immersive experience. Here you can forget that you are just three kilometres away from the main road or the bustling village of Achada Igreja as you descend into the valley of Leitãozinho and enter the rural community you will be part of. This is an environment of subsistence farming, where tending to the livestock and managing the crops are the essential daily tasks for your neighbours. The Casa, however, is spacious and furnished adequately to make your stay comfortable. There is no television, the mobile phone signal is not always strong, and we struggled to get any reliable internet, but the benefits arise from the simple pleasures of staying in a peaceful valley surrounded by good, honest people and the animals that share their lives. If you have chosen to stay at Casa Pé di Polon then you will not have been seeking the accoutrements of modern technology. However, if this is to be a base to explore other parts of Santiago then a car with good clearance is essential as the track along the valley floor is quite rutted in places. It is difficult to review Casa Pé di Polon as there are things that would make living here easier (in February, for instance, it was quite chilly in the evenings when the wind blew through the shutters, as the house lacks windows), but it is churlish to want for conveniences when life is evidently so hard for so many people in the area. What is certain is that your host, Jairzinho, will do his absolute utmost to ensure that you are well looked after and any problems are addressed, and your next door neighbour, Lina, is always on hand to help. In summary, to stay at Casa Pé di Polon is a privilege and it will be an experience that will take its place fondly in your memories for many years to come.

Jarzinho, es una persona fantástica, respondiendo al inmediato de nuestras dudas, orientándonos en la isla y teniendo también una relación con los locales muy buena! La ubicación de la casa es genial por los que quiere de verdad conocer la Isla de Santiago, que tiene mucho pero aún no muy desarrollada turística mente, lo que nos gustó! La casa esta perdida en el campo, localización perfecta para vivir Cabo Verde!

9.0 Shönes Haus in traumhafter Lager

Eine traumhaft schöne Lage! In einem abgelegenen Tal, umgeben von einzelnen kleinen Höfen mit ihren Hühnern und Ziegen, die auch schon Mal auf die Terrasse zu Besuch kommen. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in grandioser Bergwelt. Die nette Nachbarin (Housekeeper) die auf Wunsch Essen bereitet. Und nicht zuletzt der Gastgeber Jairzinho, der einem via Telefon allzeit mit mit guten Ratschlägen zur Seite steht. Insgesamt ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Leider nur drei Tage, sollten wir noch einmal nach Santiago kommen dann bestimmt länger zum Casa di Polon.

Immersion complète dans le milieu rural. Près d'un imposant baobab la maison est très agréable et les voisins d'une gentillesse remarquable. La maison est a environ deux km du village prévoir les courses pour le premier soir.

7,0 Als je van back to basic houdt is dit een uitermate geschikte accomodatie.

Landelijke ligging, in een prachtige vallei. Back to basic. Heerlijk rustig en in het midden van Santiago. As er iets was regelde de eigenaar het meteen. 

Het is toch handig om over een auto te beschikken.

8,0 A conseiller pour toute personne que rêve  d'un coin perdu

La situation de la maison, perdue dans la nature. Pas un bruit de voiture. Juste le chant du coq et des oiseaux, les ânes. Le calme total. De jolies ballades dans la Ribeira toute proche. Il faut toutefois aimer marcher : 30 minutes à la montée jusqu'à Achada da Igreja. Mais ça en vaut la peine ! Des voisins très sympas, prêts à aider si problème, mais discrets.

A great place in rural Santiago. It might seem far away from everything, but in fact it was very easy to catch public transportation. We discovered the whole island from this place and it went just fine. Our children loved the animals (goats, chicken, pigs, donkeys). The owner is born in Picos and can give you all tips and tricks you can dream of.

Bon séjour chez Jairzinho, indications pour retrouver la maison compliquées à comprendre mais il ne faut pas hésiter à interpeller les habitants car ils connaissent tous la "maison pour dormir avec un code pour entrer" !

Superbe petite maison confortable située dans une vallée magnifique, c'est un dépaysement radical dans un cadre naturel splendide avec des voisins adorables.... je recommande à tous ceux qui souhaitent aller à la rencontre des cap verdiens et les amateurs de randonnées en montagnes.

Great place to get to know the real Cape Verde. Wonderful modern house, with terrace overlooking the valley, very quiet except for the sound of the animals, which is so nice! Yaïr was very communicative and helpful with tips and tricks to get around. You can start day-hikes right from the house!

If you are looking for a real cape verdian country side experience, this family home it is the perfect place: super clean with everything you need, lovely neighbours and a lot of farm animal all around you. From there there are a lot of walk: just look from the different path around, we walked up to the hill in front of the house and we reach a breathtaking views in 2 hours.

Casa Pe di Polon is a nice and cozy traditional house, but we were amazed with the commodities. We especially enjoyed the warm shower and the equipped kitchen. The house is located in a small village in a nice valley. We really got to know the Cape Verdean countryside by hiking in the surrounding. Jair is a very nice host. Although he is not around, he was checking on us and was always reachable when we needed him. He was very helpful in arranging taxi for us from the airport, straight to the house. He also gave us some good advices about how to enjoy our stay in the country. We definitely recommend Casa Pe de Polon, especially for those who like the quiet and serenity of the countryside

Cette jolie petite maison traditionnelle est idéale pour ceux qui veulent l'immersion totale dans le pays; avec non loin, le vivant petit village de Picos, avec les voisins gentils et attentionnés, avec les animaux de la ferme tout autour de vous et surtout avec ce vallon plein de sérénité.
